Community Nurses

District Nurses provide nursing care at home. Their work includes seeing post-operative patients who have been discharged early from hospital, supervision of dressings, giving insulin to diabetic patients, care of the elderly and care of the dying. Health Visitors

Health Visitors are nurses who have had specialist training.

They are commonly recognised as working with families who have pre-school children. They can advise on health matters, support families in times of stress and arrange help and services.
